I have personally installed it myself and I do use the tool bar . It is safe and quite usefull, you can customize it yourself by adding “gadgets” and tweakingf your feed reader.

I think it is neat and it sure seems clean, I reduced all of the addon crap that comes with toolbars and just made shortcuts to stuff I like and added a media player. Any radio station suggestions will be conncidered, if that station has a live stream, then yes I will add it also.

The gadgets are pretty cool, even on linux they work great. The wiki gadget is usefull, and the rss feed reader gadget, that was pretty damn cool seeing shortcuts to my feeds just floating there.

Yes you can completely customize yours… Completely! If anyone builds one themselves and I install it and like it, I will post it on my blog and on my front page of my tech section on y website if wanted.. unless you build your own for private reasons… but why the hell not share?

oh and if anyone needs pownce invites , I still have mine. and I dunno if joost is still invite only, but I can invite if you need it.

Manual blogging

I am not sure what you really call it but i have a blog that i work on on my own site, It does not get half the traffic any of the free blogs I use get. but it is my blog and is the one i work the most on. it is hard as hell to get traffic there. when I find the system that works best, I will post it here and put it on my regular blog asap

Getting traffic to blog

My last blog “iworkwithpeople.wordpress.com” is gone. and man it had awesome traffic, now I have this blog here to work, but I also have my main TruXter’s tech blog http://blog.iworkwithpeople.com.

and man I have to say , between the one I am on right now and the main one, I do not get 1/3 the traffic but am working on better content. If I can get attention as I did before, hell i will delete my site and migrate the blog there.

Basicly I have to manually do , what wordpress already does for you it, I have tto submit my rss all over the net to feed readers.. by fricken hand, so I am all over this site Issue is, I keep getting distracted and forgetting what I am doing, but what teh hell , everything I need will be here or in my bookmarks. lol

but it’s mine and it will be bad ass like my last, but better .. maybe I can get on leo laporte’s new show.

usb port car stereo+ chipod v2 = greatness

well the chipod v2 worked great in the car on the usb port connection, why do I know this?… I forgot my fricken headphones.

cheap lil crappy 10 dollar mp3 player/memory stick= -1 because it played once but never again.

Chipod linux compatible from the start no drivers no special software.. all others, need every fricken piece of software you can think of.

Downside is the battery rakes forever to charge… I really do mean forever. it has to be attached usb to pc . I do have a usb charger for wall socket.. that sucker just got hot but did not charge. plus when you connect to the pc, even with the thing turned off you can still browse the folders, that is kinda cool kinda bad. bad because while you have it opened to browse, the battery stops charging.. no joke. I di9d not know this. I left it opened with the pc on (booted to Linux Partition) while I slept. woke up and the dang thing was at 75% charge, right where I last left it. It did charge while hooked up to the car stereo on the way to work as I listened to regular local radio … cool. but I really think chipod v1 had a way longer battery life. if this stays an issue, I might just break out my old v1 and my soldering gun.

I do not think I charged it good enough, sucker ran dead after like 4 hours. I may go into setting and check the lighting  and display , maybe I had it set to high to long or some crap. the last one I bought was crap, but cost me $50 and the battery seemed to never die.

If I have to, I will swap the batteries and solder the one in . but chances are the new one has a bigger and better battery just soaks more juice, or some crap.
