From the first Gta Gameup untill the making of the “stories” games, Grand Theft Auto has been played on the computer. Of course along side of Consoles.
there are tons of misslead posts and fake youtube videos that show people playing the game. In most cases you can see the human clicking wrong to open doors, and his navigation is wrong, oir the head tilts without the free mouse roam a pc can give you. So it’s clear the posts are missleading.
There is a forum that is created with hopes of gtaIv coming to pc, heck it even shows hope for liberty and vice city stories coming to pc. It even has a moddifications section already waiting. HERE is where everyone goes to just read, and occassionally post theories/hopes/finds/facts so others can help in the research of this/these game(s) coming to pc.
From the looks of things, if we can see anything, it will not be till April 09

Some dude just farts around with the game. Looks like he has the game and is playing it.
Maybe he’s a beta tester?
Maybe he’s the son of someone big?
Could be a pirate - I do not know - but here is the feed.
But from the rag doll effects and how the assaulted ball up and gets knocked out and how they knock out when falling from short heights, or how the driver’s door flings open during front end impact and the driver squirts out… HOLY CRAP!
Get your PlayStation 3s now, get your Xbox 360 cooled, and I mean way cooled because this game is gonna stress it.
Looks funner than any other GTA I have ever seen. So clear and the city is so huge.
The motorcycle sounded kinda electronic; maybe it was because it was in a flash feed. I dunno.
But man, that guy just crumples when he wrecks - nowhere near the identical flips and rolls from the predecessors.
This game is GTA all over again. Very well done.
I see Jack breaking all laws to try and sue for this

I Scroll the web in search of the best news content and latest news content on Grand Theft Auto IV.
and post it on iworkwithtech.com
I will be working with it for as long as I can.
After some time, expect to find a ‘GtaIV for pc’ petition .
I know no one looks at those, but it would be nice to let everyone know how many people really care and the reports that say no one plays pc games anymore, are false.
So grand theft auto news is in hopes of a pc version is my goal, meanwhile I will look for cool stuff. I have found some, so give it a look
So If you like it, give me a shout!

One of the members from the grand theft auto forums has begun creating a game to tide us over till gtaIV comes out.
Here is a screen shot and discription
I think he did a good job this far. but he needs more streets and more people. even if he isn’t ready to chunk down new buildings, just the streets and the people would be pretty nice to see. Maybe more graffiti on some of the buildings that are already existing. More music to rotate through in the cheat code would be nice, more stuff on mars and more in the sewer or another sewer would be cool.slow down the peds and increase their paths.
Possibly the implementation of of greg leedberg’s udlp To Link it up and play a buddy. or a full blown online world kinda like runescape or something. .a nice head to head battle would be fun
If anyone can help in this message him I am sure he will take all the help offered if you can do the stuff, I am pretty sure it will be free… maybe he can rename the game to gtaforum-users online. or some crap
I would love to see it converted for flash within a browser.
My work is here

recap from first blog about gta vc and san andreas on linux of mine.
I have now installed the game on suse, xandros, ubuntu here is the walk through
So far it runs smoothest on xandros for me, ubuntu has great drivers for nvidia but not quite fast or smooth enough.
I am on a fresh reinstall of xandros, and havent installed any video addons that have previously givin me a hard time.
man this is quite nice, practicly like a san andrea only computer,or gta arcade. but what ever. I got reminded that I even
did the gta on linux page by a member of the gta forums website, I noticed that this person came from thier blog/website
My god, the person quoted me even with all my damn typos. I mean , I slappe dthat together to pass on to a few friends, I never checked for spelling errors or poor sentence structure. well I have noticed buttloads of traffic, so I slapped adsense on it and forgot about it. 4000 hits later, someone quotes me. guh.
well I looked at that person’s page and I have to say “nice fricken work” they did very well, more screen shots of the install than what I give, LOL I give none, this person gives noted errors, I give none. between the two I think you might get a pretty good install going. go to mtavc.com for the multiplayer version of gta. It works on linux now… you do not need cedega nor a subscription to a sub-par mag!
gamers war cry
GLHF!

I have been chasing down rumors of grand theft auto liberty stories and vice city stories. I have found a Forum and an online petition to get it brought to us. I have come across many places where people tantrum in forums and stuff but Have found no lead or clue.
I do not understand this, People have converted many versions of grand theft auto to computer from ps2 version. But yet no one has even tried to convert liberty city stories or vice city stories. The best I have seen was something I did myself, I re-skinned gtaIII with liberty city stories. Basicly i added the vehicles and change the attributes of the buildings to reflec the stories buildings. I did the same with vice city stories. But still there are no missions, and it kinda messes you up when you play gtaIII missions with liberty city stories crap there, because the garbage cans in front of the garage and a few other issues like the buildings you can not enter and you can’t get all of the packages because there is a building where buildings did not used to be.. in the mafia area..
If anyone has any links to something close to what i have mentioned, hit me up, if it is a private whisper and you do not want it public tell me. If you want it public tell me, I will make it public.. so if you have a way of playing it on pc, let me know. I already have all gta games current just two games have not made it to pc and I want them… any means necessary.
I would love to see this changed.
